VI ÄR BÄST!

On Friday night, while everyone else in Melbourne went to Miley Cyrus' concert (I missed the show by half an hour as I was babysitting) I decided to watch Vi Är Bäst! aka We Are The Best! - A swedish film about three 13 year old girls from Stockholm in 1982 starting a punk band - despite everyone telling them punk is dead. It's so cool, they're really cool little swedish punks - recruiting a straight laced christian girl to join their band, they write songs about hating sport, meet up with other punk boys and just hang out with each other. It's a really cool movie, I totally rate it. I wish I had been as cool as them when I was 13. So jealous of Hedvig's guitar playing ability - AND theres this really cool scene where the men at their community center have just bought a new electric guitar and try and teach her to play some simple chord because they assume she can't play because she's a girl and then she totally shreds the guitar and it's awesome. Also, it introduced me to some really cool Swedish punk music, so thats a plus.
